| august 5 2010 the summer is heavy and hot and grooving steadily along… whether you're on vacation, on staycation, in renovation haven, bbq bliss, 'i need a cottage or time share now!', cant' wait til the next holiday/labour day, or just experiencing life as usual, i trust you are enjoying the city or wherever you are. the rAiz'n ensemble & rCurrentz program wrapped for the season, and we're starting prep with auditions for the grad production of radiance in october. the office and studio is buzzing with staff, our studio artists, and this year's summer aRts project! and summerworks is here with tanya pillay's all of him. please read on/below and enjoy our offerings for this end of season... and if you haven't been in office and met our new folks, a few faces to match to staff:  as always/b current  Artistic Director The 6th annual Summer aRts Project is in full swing... We started workshop sessions on Tuesday morning, with studio artists: Nicole Brooks, Levi Lingwabo, & Rehaset Yohanes, supported by a handful of our regular & new facilitating artists leading an eager and promising ensemble of young people in a wide open exploration which heavily borders on the musical this year.
We have various workshops each day in our studio and other locations, we are working again with youngsters in the Denarda Community Centre in Weston-Mt Dennis, and plan a few trips to shows in & out of town.
