Tetrault Productions Presents Gandhi High

TETRAULT ARTS PRODUCTIONS

Hello Friends! Please come and see an important new Canadian play that deals with the issue of youth alienation and the violence that has been occurring in our neighbourhoods and communities. Tétrault Arts Productions is producing the stage play, Gandhi High to be shown in Toronto during the period of October 13 to 25, 2009 , with two previews October 10th - 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m..

Gandhi High is a challenging new play about a South Asian teenager named Jehan Sachi who encouraged by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, develops the courage to come to terms with his abusive past and the strength to challenge his peers and the community to rise above and fight the violence that is overtaking them. Gandhi's principles help these teens realize that they are entitled to protest against the poverty, racism and abuse that they have been subjected to - but that this fight is most effective through non violence, love, and forgiveness . We will be using excerpts from CBC radio interviews with community leaders re. gun violence.

You can buy tickets online at www.gandhihigh.ca. Plus we are selling $5 raffle tickets (Prize - Trip - two roundtrip airfares to India + $500 cash)! You will also be able to buy raffle tickets online - but in the meantime for raffle tickets contact Brian Eastcott at brian.eastcott@rogers.com.
